what it is
SLY Migration Center
SLY Migration Center is SLY's independent migration assessment and planning engine. It inventories application structures, maps dependencies, evaluates readiness, surfaces risks, recommends destination architecture, generates scope and prepares controlled cutover plans.
the problem
Migration estimates are frequently produced before the source system, dependency graph, security boundaries and operational risks are understood. SLY Migration Center creates the assessment and planning evidence required before execution is authorized.
how it works
- 01An authorized operator creates or selects an assessment context.
- 02Structured application information and approved inventories are evaluated.
- 03The engine generates readiness, dependency and risk findings.
- 04Destination architecture and migration scope can be developed.
- 05A plan-only cutover blueprint establishes waves, validation and rollback gates.
- 06Human stakeholders decide whether and how execution proceeds.
capabilities
- ·Assess readiness (migration.assess_readiness — active, v1.0.0): normalize application profile, inventory and readiness findings.
- ·Generate scope (migration.generate_scope — active, v1.0.0): create executive scope, workstreams, phases, assumptions, exclusions and acceptance criteria without inventing fixed pricing.
- ·Plan destination (migration.plan_destination — active, v1.0.0): recommend destination services, identity, storage, integration, observability, resilience and rollback considerations without provisioning them.
- ·Generate risk register (migration.generate_risk_register — active, v1.0.0): prioritize risks with evidence, mitigation, ownership and validation criteria.
- ·Generate cutover plan (migration.generate_cutover_plan — active, v1.0.0): produce a plan-only sequence of waves, rehearsals, validation, communication and rollback gates.
inputs & outputs
inputs
- Authorized application profile
- Structured entity, function, integration and dependency inventories where available
- Target-platform and operational constraints
outputs
- Readiness assessment
- Migration scope draft
- Destination architecture plan
- Risk register
- Cutover blueprint
architecture
SLY Migration Center remains an independent specialist engine with its own database and operational boundary. SLY owns client relationships, commercial scope, approvals and engagement visibility, invoking only explicitly approved advisory capabilities.
data flow
Authorized assessment context is submitted through a signed, allowlisted server-to-server bridge. The engine returns normalized planning artifacts and safe execution metadata. No unrestricted database sharing or automatic migration execution occurs.
ownership disclosure
Created and developed by SLY. SLY retains ownership of the product concept, system design, interface, documentation, workflows, orchestration patterns, structured output formats and associated methodologies, except for identified third-party technology and client-owned material.
what sly owns
- Migration assessment and planning product concept
- Readiness, scope, risk and cutover artifact structures
- Dependency and destination-planning methodology
- Interface and assessment workflow
- SLY integration and governance model
- Documentation and product identity
third-party technology
- Base44 application infrastructure
- Cloud providers and destination services referenced in plans
- Underlying AI/model services
- Third-party APIs, integrations and open-source dependencies
operating boundaries
- ·No automatic production-data transfer
- ·No cloud-resource provisioning
- ·No secret or credential movement
- ·No source-schema or source-record mutation
- ·No authentication or row-level-security changes
- ·No payment or webhook modification
- ·No DNS changes, destructive actions or cutover execution
- ·No invented fixed prices, guaranteed timelines or unsupported compliance claims
trust
Every connected capability is advisory and allowlisted. Migration outputs remain drafts or planning artifacts until reviewed and explicitly approved by authorized people.
maturity
Operational as an independent SLY specialist engine, connected to SLY through five active, versioned advisory capabilities.
